Maybe all those years as a middle school teacher left me unable to enjoy watching slackers muck through life. A bit supernatural, but it was interesting.

The things that happen just would not happen! There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Were “The Messenger” simply a fairytale I might accept it, but it poses as a story which blends the mystic with the real and so therefore fails abjectly on both counts. Every week she runs barefoot, bleeds, loses, and is very happy. There is so much bad about this book that it’s hard to find a cagtas to start.
The dull and drab life of Ed, an underage cab driver with a coffee-addicted dog, takes an unexpected turn when he accidentally stops a bank robbery and finds himself being placed in charge of watching out for the entire zusam per a visit from the mysterious Ace. To date, Zusak has held the number one position at Amazon. They are happy to be amused and entertained: Given to me as a recommendation, I started reading it with trepidation, only to find that all my worst fears were immediately confirmed.
The book failed to nourish our relationship; I regret that I spent time reading it when I could have moved on to something more enjoyable; I resent the face that such a talent as that which gave us “The Book Thief” was squandered on this silly, ill-written effort peopled with such poorly drawn and unbelievable characters.
The characters are also awful and badly-written. The book is full of symbols, but I think symbols are only as good as how realistic and meaningful they are. You also may like to try some of these bookshopswhich may or may not sell this item. And then we get to the end. There are lot of repetitive parts. Boy, what a letdown. It really is this. It changes the story. But the box is empty, and the girl understands the symbolism, so the next day, she races barefoot.

The author has brought the reader into the story. What is young adult supposed to mean? The ending is predictable and not in that “I know what’s makrus to happen and I can’t wait for it” sort of way.
